Relationships are destined. And I think I was destined to meet a 5-days old stray pup on a cold winter night. Last January, while I was driving on the streets of one of the sectors in Panchkula, I had a strong gut feeling that I am about to run over something. I stopped my car and got down to see what it is. To my surprise, a cute stray pup was sleeping in the middle of the road, shivering and obviously hungry! I picked him up and brought him home.

And we have been living under the same roof ever since. I named him DJ- a funky and pretty unusual name. Well, for my dog, the name had to be unique and cool. DJ is frisky, energetic, amiable and very loving. I think he is born to charm everyone around him. When I brought him home, all my friends came to meet him. Not only this, my maid, my car-cleaner and everyone in the neighborhood was very happy to have him around.

Now, DJ is one and a half year old – pretty healthy and lively. But whenever I think about that night I feel that he was really destined to be a part of my family. That is why god sent me there to pick him up from the middle of the road where he was likely to be run down by any car. But his luck had different plans from him!
