CUM SHELTER : ‘Basera’, for the care and treatment of sick and injured animals (small & large), which have been deserted or are homeless.
PFA-CHANDIGARH GAUASHRAM :
PFA Chandigarh is running a Gaushala in Sector-25 Chandigarh. This Gaushala includes cow sheds, open spaces, fodder rooms, doctor's room and treatment room & houses cows, bulls & calves.
PFA CHANDIGARH GAUASHRAM IN PATIALA :
PFA Chandigarh is running a Gauashram in Patiala at Snour Road, which houses the deserted cows, bulls and calves of Patiala. This Gaushala was handed over to our Organization on 24th September 2010 by Municipal Corporation of Patiala.
PFA CHANDIGARH ANIMAL AMBULANCE SERVICE: ‘Jeev Rakshak Seva’,
for picking up the sick and injured animals from the streets. This service is operational in Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali and its adjoining areas i.e. Hallomajra, Palsora, Ramgarh, Barwala, Mansa Devi, Saketri, Nada Sahib, Ambala, Kalka, Devi Nagar, Hangoli, Raipurrani, Mohali, Zirakpur, Landra, Kharar, Balongi, Sialba, Sounk, Ropar. This is the first and only such service for the animals in this region.
MOBILE
VETERINARY CAMPS : are organized on a regular basis in villages and slums in and around Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, and its adjoing villages i.e. Manimajra, Maulijagraon, Battola, Khuda Lahora, Palsora, Zirakpur, Kasauli, Phantuan, Karore, Sounk, Kaimbala, Pearch, Kambala, Dhakorankalan, Karaundiawala, Chachomajra. During these camps free medicines are distributed and free Anti Rabies Vaccinations are also administered to all animals.

BIRTH CONTROL PROJECT :As per the guidelines of the World Health Organization & the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India, the dogs are being sterilized. This is been carried out on a regular basis so as to control and check the population of dogs in this region. The dogs are picked up from the various sectors and are then sterilized, vaccinated against Anti- Rabies and just before being released they are marked so that they can be identified later and moreover this marking also helps in maintaining the total count of such sterilized dogs.
HORSE
CART TREATMENT CAMPS: are organized every alternate week in Chandigarh, Panchkula Mohali & its adjoining areas i.e. Indira Colony, Burail,, Ramdarbar, Industrial Areas. During these camps free treatment is given to the horses and their owners are made aware of the translated (Hindi) version of the Prevention of Cruelty to Pack and Draught Animals 1965. Such Camps help in checking the overloading of horses.
ADOPTION COLOUMN FOR DESERTED AND HOMELESS ANIMALS : : is carried out on a regular basis in the local newspapers i.e. Chandigarh Bhaskar, Chandigarh Newsline & Chandigarh Tribune. Through these column animals that have been deserted such as dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, birds etc. are given for adoption.

LAWS AWARENESS PROGRAMMES FOR THE POLICE : are also organized on an annual basis. Representatives from each police station & police post attend this awareness workshop. The main objective of these workshops is to sensitize the police & make them more aware of the execution of the various Animal Laws in India.
PFA CHANDIGARH WORKSHOPS IN SCHOOLS : PFA Chandigarh is running PFA - Workshops in various schools in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali wherein several activities are conducted so as to sensitize children and spreade awareness regarding animal welfare and animal laws.
PFA Chandigarh launches Project Sahyog- PFA Chandigarh, under the Community Service Scheme. The main objective of this Project is to involve the community in conserving the environment through small initiatives such as recycling of newspapers and increasing the usage of newspaper bags and envelopes. MERA MITR CAMPS IN CHANDIGARH AND MOHALI : PFA Chandigarh organizes annual campaign in Chandigarh and Mohali with regard to the free anti rabies vaccination of street and pet dogs. This campaign will ensure 100% rabies free thus ensure the safety for all. Click here for more details
